About the designer

Hiroshima-born Mariko Doi creates jewellery inspired by the sea where she loved growing up as a child. Settled in London for more than half of her life, she incorporates the culture and style of the city into her mix and attitude.

About the Product:​

Most of her jewellery is made from 14k gold filled using fresh water pearls, semi or precious stones and corals.

 

Gold-filled jewellery, also known as "rolled gold" is composed of a solid layer of gold bonded with heat and pressure to a base metal (brass usually). The gold won't tarnish as quickly as plated gold. It's free from Nickel which tends to cause allergic reaction.
